Material Delivery

  • Image formats and third-party-tags should be delivered two (2) business days prior to the start of the campaign.
  • Special ad formats (Floating Banner, Interstitial etc.) should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.
  • All materials should be sent to: aineisto@improvemedia.fi
  • Materials should be delivered only in the following formats: GIF, JPEG, PNG, HTML5, and in third-party ad tags.
  • In case of delivering HTML5 materials, see the Adform instructions.

Video Parade in Desktop

Materials should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.

Improve Media builds the functionality of the format from the image and video materials sent by the client.

File format: MP4
Aspect ratio:Horizontal or rectangular videos can be fitted on a case-by-case basis.
Size: Max 30 seconds long. Recommended size 2MB, max. size 10MB.
Other image files: One 980×400 px wallpaper picture, on top of which the video is built. Additionally one banner image is needed for the start and end frame of the video. The banner picture must be in the same aspect ratio as the video. File format for the images is either JPG or PNG.

A small logo picture in PNG format can also be delivered, if wanted in the implementation.

Floating Banner

Materials should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.

Improve Media builds the functionality of the format from the image and video materials sent by the client. If needed, video can be included in the implementation of the ad format.

Banner: max 980×600 px
Start frame of the video: 640×360 px
Video: 640×360 MP4/WEBM, max 30 seconds. Recommended size 2MB and maximum size 10MB.

Image material can be delivered in either JPEG of PNG format. If the materials are delivered already prepared or any additional functionality will be built in the format, the materials must be sent completely compatible with the Adform template. See the instructions on how to make the materials compatible with Adform. If Improve Media is to build the implementation, the materials cannot be delivered as tags.

Desktop Floor Ad

Materials should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.

Improve Media builds the functionality of the format from the image and video materials sent by the client. The format can be run by utilizing the sticky part, which is built on the bottom of the site. The sticky part works as a tactical driver. The format also works as an expanding banner: by clicking the image, a 980×400 banner will open onto the bottom of the sticky part. It’s possible to build a video in the expanding part.

Start frame of the video: 636×264 px
Video: 636 x 264 px MP4/WEBM, max 30 seconds. Recommended size 2MB, maximum 10MB.

Image material can be delivered in either JPEG of PNG format. See the instructions on how to make the materials compatible with Adform. If Improve Media is to build the implementation, the materials cannot be delivered as tags.

*Please note that the banner will be scaled by the width of the browser. When scaled on a bigger screen the banner will be cut a few pixels from the top and the bottom of the image. We recommend placing important texts and logos in the middle of the banner.

Parade and wallpaper

Materials should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.

Improve Media builds the functionality of the format from the image and video materials sent by the client. The site structures vary, which means that the wallpaper appears differently on different sites. In the visual planning, it is worth considering that the wallpaper margins might be narrower on some sites while being wider on the others.

Parade: 980×400 px
Wallpaper can be sent in either JPEG or PNG format. Parade cannot be run through a tag but it should be made following the Adform HTML5 instructions or delivered as an image file.

In-Read video

Materials should be delivered five (5) business days prior to the start of the campaign.

Only a video from the client is needed for the implementation.

File format: Preferably a MOV file, alternatively MP4, MPG, WMV or AVI files are also accepted.
Aspect ratio: Recommended 1024×576 px, minimum 640×360 px. Aspect ratio should be either 16:9 or 4:3.
Size: Max 30 seconds and 200MB.

Please note that the material cannot be an anamorphic video. Start and end frames should not be black.

Click-to-Expand

Improve Media builds the functionality of the format from the image and video materials sent by the client. The materials can be in JPEG, GIF or PNG formats.

Size: 300×300 px
Expanded image: 300×600 px** tai 300×480 px

** Please note that an expanded image in the size 300×600 becomes scaled on smaller screens by cutting a few pixels from the bottom of the picture. We recommend placing the most important content inside the 480 px area (when measured from the top border).

Mobile Floor Ad

The format can be run by utilizing the sticky part, which is built on the bottom of the site (320×75 px). The sticky part works as a tactical driver. The format also works as an expanding banner: by clicking the image, a 300×300 px banner will open onto the bottom of the sticky part.

Materials should be delivered two (2) working days prior to the start of the campaign.

Jodel – Boosted Post with a text or image

Commenting can be allowed in case the client wishes for it. In case of commenting being allowed in the post, it’s recommended to have an original jodeler as “OJ” who is familiar with the user behavior in Jodel. The OJ should follow the conversation for a day and be ready to answer the comments posted in the post.

Voting, sharing and pinning the post are automatically included in the post.

The text should be delivered as a text file (.txt) or a document file (.doc). The image should be delivered in JPEG format.

Consider leaving roughly 21% (403 pixels) of the top and bottom screen free from text, logos or other essential elements.

Jodel – Display image or video

Voting can be included but it is not automatically included in the post. When voting is allowed in the post, you will receive feedback on the ad. This includes the upvotes and downvotes presented in the post. It is possible to have five different materials, which can rotate randomly or in the precise order in the ad.

Commenting is not possible in this ad format but sharing and pinning the post are included automatically.

The images should be delivered in JPEG format and videos in MP4 format (recommended length of the video is from 11 sec to max. 15 sec.)

If the materials have not been delivered to aineisto@improvemedia.fi according to the instructions above, or if there are any technical problems, we will send the materials back. We aim to inform the advertiser well ahead before the campaign starts in case there are problems with the ad materials.

Consider leaving roughly 10% (192 pixels) of the top and bottom screen free from text, logos or other essential elements.

Jodel – Programmatic Display

Sizes: 300x250px, 300x300px, 320x320px & 320x480px

  • Targeting options by age and gender (1st party data)
    • Targeting is directly integrated into the deals
  • Allowed and supported formats: HTML5, Rich Media, GIF, PNG
    • NOTE! Banners must be in MRAID format
  • Ad placements are widely available across Jodel
  • Purchasing is done through Google’s Preferred Deal, which is available for buyers using DV360, Adform, Xandr, etc.
